  Walking a thin line - Resigning Elder

  warning of a long boring post ahead.

  i feel like i need to vent my story out, as i feel quite helpless at the moment.. i'm 31 year old, married, father of toddler with another one on the way, due later this month.

  i've been serving as elder for about 4 years now in a south florida congregation.

  Welcome to the "the other side" you are leaving at the perfect time. Try to fade gently so you may keep your family and your marriage intact. I got out late and two of my children never speak to me. I was married to a very mean leader and wham we divorced he turned all of my children against me. I will never be quite the same,at times I think depression is my middle name. You will have a good relationship with your kids later on. Big virtual hugs to you. I know this pain. 😰

  My JW Daughter sends a Letter to us Explaining her Shunning of Me

  my wife and i sent my 22 yr.old pioneer witness daughter and her husband a anniversary card and $ 40.00 and flowers the end of april.

  my daughter wrote mrs. flipper and me each our own individual letters thanking us initially for the gifts - and then went into detail as to why she has not spoken to me for over a year and shunned me.. keep in mind as i paraphrase some of the highlights to these letters that the only negative thing i have said about the organization to my daughter in 3 years was to show her the ap news release about the child abuse settlements by the wt society .

  Yikes, painful! And no offense @ Sad Michael I think you might be on the wrong site! Because this situation is not fixed by merely going back. Some food for thought.....

  i have a question.....if two jw have sex and only one of them goes to the eldurrs and confesses.....do they both get busted?

  or does the boe need a confession from both people.?

  if one of em denies it happened will that person still get df'd?.

  Technically it's ones word against the others, in the case of the girl who got pregnant... All she needs is a DNA test to bust that idiot!
